Alexandru Zaharcu M.D., Facp

Alexandru Zaharcu MD FACP currently serves as the Inpatient Rehab Medical Director at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester, overseeing team-focused rehabilitation efforts. Additionally, Alexandru holds the position of Chairman of Medicine and Medical Director of Sewanee Skilled Nursing Facility at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System. Since September 2019, Alexandru has also been involved with Apogee Physicians as Program Director for the Hospitalist Program and Assistant Program Director. Alexandru is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and has a background in clinical research from Cleveland Clinic. Prior residency training took place at HCA West Florida Careers and at Spitalul Universitar de Urgenta Bucuresti. Alexandru obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila Bucharest, Romania.
