Bruce Olsen

Bruce Olsen has been a Trustee at Southern Virginia University since December 2011. Prior to that, they were President of the San Diego Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from January 1989 to December 2011. Bruce was also President of the Massachusetts Boston Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from January 1982 to December 1985, and an Associate Professor in the School of Communications at Brigham Young University from January 1985 to December 1989. Bruce started their career as a Management Intern at the United States Atomic Energy Commission from January 1965 to December 1966, and then held the position of Assistant to the President for University Relations at Brigham Young University from January 1966 to December 1982.

Bruce Olsen has a Master of Arts in Communications and Personnel from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/English from Brigham Young University. Bruce also has a Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa, from Southern Virginia University.
