Chengyu Yang

Chengyu YANG is an accomplished Project Officer at SOAS University of London, responsible for planning and organizing major conferences in Taiwan studies since October 2022. YANG contributes regularly to the International News Division at Southern Weekly, having transitioned from a trainee journalist and research assistant to a freelancer in international news. As Editor in Chief and founding member of the Ningbo International Studies Review, YANG managed student submissions and publicity strategies. Previous roles include research assistance with Love Save Pneumoconiosis and a PR internship at Ruder Finn, where contributions encompassed market research and speech writing. YANG held the position of President at the Nottingham Debating Union China, coordinating successful events and educational workshops. Academic credentials include an ongoing Master of Arts in Political Anthropology/Taiwan Studies at SOAS University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Copenhagen, and a first-class Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
