Megan Parkes has a diverse work experience primarily in marketing and events management. Megan began their career as a Marketing and Events Coordinator at Southern Cross Austereo in September 2016. Megan then progressed to become a Client Event and Marketing Manager in July 2017 and later promoted to the role of Trade Marketing Manager for NSW in October 2019. Megan's career expanded further when they joined Royal Saxon Inc as a Marketing and Events Manager in October 2014, and eventually returned to Southern Cross Austereo as a National Trade Marketing Manager in February 2022. Megan continued to advance within the company and held the position of Senior National Trade Marketing Manager, followed by their current role as Head of Trade Marketing starting in September 2023. Prior to these roles, Megan worked as a Business and Marketing Manager at Corporate Executive Offices from October 2012 to May 2014.

Megan Parkes obtained a Bachelor of Communication from RMIT University, specializing in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication between the years 2010 and 2012. Megan has also obtained various certifications, including "Digital Audio Foundations" from Spotify, "LinkedIn Certified Marketing Insider," "LinkedIn Content and Creative Design," "LinkedIn Marketing Solutions Fundamentals," and "LinkedIn Marketing Strategy" from LinkedIn, and "Brand Management" from the Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson. Additionally, they have completed "The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" from Google Digital Garage and "Cert IV in Work Health and Safety" from Pinnacle Safety and Training.
