Groups Ministry Leader

The Groups Ministry Leader will carry out the vision of Southland Groups at the Lexington Campus while supporting the overall strategy and ministry of the Lexington Campus.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Shepherd Group Leaders

• Recruit, evaluate, interview, and train all new Southland Group Leaders
• Develop new and existing leaders within an effective leadership structure
• Communicate effectively with leaders
• Provide ongoing connection, care, appreciation, and wise/Godly counsel
• Raise up new leaders while championing overall leadership culture

Develop Group Coaches

• Oversee the coaching structure of Southland Group Leaders
• Lead, train, and empower coaches to effectively invest in their leaders

Serve During Weekend Services

• Attend and participate in all weekend services at the Lexington Campus
• Be available and engaged in every service
• Collaborate and develop strong rapport with Guest Experience Team
• Proactively seek opportunities to assist in other ministry areas based on needs (e.g. Children’s Team, Guest Experience Team, Prayer Team)

Execute Vision and Mission of Lexington Campus and Southland Christian Church

• Serve at Lexington Campus events (e.g. Starting Point, Worship Night, etc.)
• Serve and support, as needed, Southland events and outreach initiatives (e.g. Meal Pack, Jesus Prom, etc.)

Build and Maintain Relationships with Lexington Campus Team Lead, Lexington Campus Staff, and Groups Ministry Leaders

• Attend meetings as needed
• Foster consistent communication
• Collaborate with Lexington Local Outreach Leader to ensure Southland Groups are living on mission and serving in the community
• Coordinate with Lexington Campus Team to create events that encourage people to be in community and join a group
• Support Lexington Campus Team Lead with leadership initiatives by championing the overall vision and mission of the Lexington Campus
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
