Brianna Simmons

Brianna Simmons has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and project management. Brianna started their career in 2007 as an Engineering Intern at HDR, where they gained valuable experience in design and project implementation. During their time at HDR, Brianna also worked as a Rail Project Designer, where they contributed to major rail improvement projects and played a key role in drafting plans and establishing speed restrictions.

In 2012, Brianna joined STV as an Engineering Specialist II. Brianna was responsible for track and systems design changes for a large-scale light rail project. Additionally, they took charge of quality control initiatives and supervised construction activities.

Since 2017, Brianna has been working at Southland Holdings LLC. Brianna started as an Assistant Project Manager/QAQC Manager, overseeing a team of engineers and managing the installation of transportation systems. Brianna successfully coordinated subcontractors and vendors, ensuring proper execution and minimizing rework. Brianna's exceptional skills and leadership qualities led their to their current role as a Project Manager.

Brianna Simmons earned their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the years 2004 to 2008. Brianna obtained certifications in the CATS Roadway Worker Protection Program (RWPP) Training from CATS in 2016 and in Railway Roadway Worker Protection from NSR North Carolina in 2008.
