Austin Messer

Austin Messer is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and accounting. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager II at SouthState Bank since August 2019, Austin has held various roles including commercial underwriter and portfolio manager. Prior to this, Austin worked as a Senior Accountant at Barfield, Murphy, Shank & Smith and BMSS, LLC. Austin began a career in auditing with BKD CPAs & Advisors, where roles included Audit Associate and Audit Intern. Austin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Harding University, completed in 2015.
