Gene Rose

Gene Rose has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the banking industry. Gene started their career at Wachovia Corp as a Treasury Product Consultant, where they acted as a liaison between sales, clients, and product development to ensure client satisfaction. Gene then moved on to Bank of America as a Consumer Credit Card Marketing Manager, managing projects to develop new sales opportunities. Gene later returned to Wachovia Corp as a VP of Treasury Sales Officer, managing the treasury relationships in the Government and Institutional Banking market.

Gene then joined Wells Fargo as a Treasury Services Migration Manager, focusing on successfully migrating Wachovia Treasury Services clients to Wells Fargo systems and services. Gene then moved to Capital One as a Vendor Integration Project Manager, managing the integration status of newly acquired suppliers resulting from merger activity. Gene later transitioned to Bank of America as a Merchant Services Integration Project Manager, managing the transition of Bank of America's merchant processing function to First Data Corporation.

Gene then joined Verscend as a Client Service Delivery Manager, where they managed ongoing projects and steady-state operations for Verisk Health's largest client. Gene later joined Capital One as a Commercial Bank Operations Project Manager, responsible for managing multiple projects focused on cost reduction, process improvement, and enhancing customer experience.

Most recently, Gene has been working at SouthState Bank as a Senior Vice President and Sr. Treasury Sales Officer, managing a Treasury Management portfolio of clients and driving new business growth and client retention.

Throughout their career, Gene has demonstrated strong project management skills, leadership capabilities, and a customer-centric approach to their roles in the banking industry.

Gene Rose attended Clemson University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management from the College of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® from Scrum Alliance in September 2014. Currently, Gene is pursuing a degree at Louisiana State University's Graduate School of Banking, expected to be completed in 2023. No specific field of study was mentioned for their graduate program.
