Hope Nesmith

Hope Nesmith is an experienced finance professional specializing in government lending and SBA loan closing. Currently serving as VP and previously as AVP at SouthState Bank since November 2020, Hope has developed a robust skill set in closing SBA 7(a) loans, overseeing file reviews, attorney referrals, and funding preparations. Prior to SouthState Bank, involvement at The Bancorp as an SBA Loan Closing Officer III and at First Citizens Bank as an SBA Closing Manager contributed to a comprehensive background in loan processing. Hope’s career in mortgage and banking began at SunTrust Bank, focusing on SBA closings, and also includes leadership experience at Saxon Mortgage. Hope holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Longwood University.
