Tonya Ray Rutenberg has extensive experience in the banking industry, with a focus on commercial banking and relationship management. Tonya Ray has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1995, Tonya worked at Security State Bank as an Assistant Bank President, where they oversaw a Commercial Loan Portfolio of $6.5 million. In 1999, they joined Community and Southern Bank, later known as First Cherokee State Bank, as a Vice President, Commercial Lender, and Relationship Manager. In this role, they provided support and management for a bank branch and served as a subject matter expert for the bank's Wealth Management division.

In 2013, Tonya joined Hamilton State Bank as Vice President of Commercial Lending. Tonya Ray managed and developed full-service banking relationships with individuals and businesses, providing financial consultation and recommended products and services. Tonya Ray also developed a commercial real estate loan portfolio of $3 million.

In 2014, Tonya joined LGE Community Credit Union as a Commercial Lender/Business Development professional. In this role, they assisted in developing a business loan portfolio and supported the credit union in achieving its strategic plans and goals.

In 2018, Tonya moved to Hamilton State Bank, a division of Ameris Bank, as a Vice President, Commercial Banker. Tonya Ray worked in this role for five months before joining Coastal States Bank as a VP, Private and Professional Banker. Tonya Ray held this position until 2023.

Currently, Tonya is employed at SouthState Bank as a Senior Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager. Further details of their responsibilities and achievements in this role are not provided.

Tonya Ray Rutenberg received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Reinhardt University. Tonya Ray completed this degree between the years 1992 and 1998. Prior to that, they also earned an Associate of Science degree in Banking and Finance from Reinhardt University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Tonya also attended The University of Georgia, but it is unclear whether they completed a degree there. Tonya Ray did, however, focus their studies on Banking at this institution.
