Garland Mitchell

Garland Mitchell has extensive experience in the technology and data analytics sectors, currently serving as the Managing Director of Enterprise Data Platforms & Analytics at Southwest Airlines since January 2004, where responsibilities include leading data platform modernization and analytics initiatives. Previous roles at Southwest Airlines include Senior Director of Technology, focusing on the modernization of Aircraft Operations applications, and Senior Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering. Mitchell also has experience in enterprise product support and end-user computing. Prior to joining Southwest Airlines, Mitchell worked as a Network Administrator at Crowe & Dunlevy and as a Computer Programmer for the US Air Force, developing software for AWACS aircraft. Garland Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Park University.
