Kevin Mountcastle

Kevin Mountcastle is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in safety risk management and flight operations. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Operations Risk and Quality Assurance at Southwest Airlines since July 2005, Kevin oversees the Air Ops Safety Risk Management and Quality Assurance Teams. Previous roles include Captain of the B737 and Manager of Flight Operations Procedures at Southwest Airlines, where oversight of operational materials for over 8000 pilots was a key responsibility. Kevin also served as Senior Pilot Advisor in the North Carolina Air National Guard, accumulating over 4000 flight hours as a command pilot. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, earned from 1991 to 1996.
