Sharon Stockton

Sharon Stockton has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the Gifted Coordinator for Southwest Kansas Area Cooperative District (USD #613) since January 2008. In this role, Sharon assists school districts in developing interventions for high-achieving students, gathers data to create individualized education plans for K-12 students qualifying for gifted services, and collaborates with various educational professionals and families. Additionally, Sharon has experience as a Special Education Teacher, implementing strategies to support students with IEPs. Earlier in Sharon's career, from January 1992 to October 1995, Sharon was the Production Farm Manager for Dekalb Swine Breeders, overseeing various aspects of swine production. Sharon holds multiple degrees from Fort Hays State University, including a Master of Science in Special Education, and an endorsement in the Education/Teaching of the Gifted and Talented, alongside degrees in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University and Animal Sciences from Kansas State University.
