Melissa Fish

Melissa Fish has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Melissa is currently serving as the Director of Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives at Southwest Michigan First since May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the West Michigan Regional Liaison at the Executive Office of Governor Whitmer from April 2021 to May 2022. Melissa also has experience as an Executive Director at the 60th District Service Office of State Representative Jon Hoadley and Community Services Charity from January 2017 to December 2020. Melissa worked as a Legislative Aide in the Michigan House of Representatives from January 2017 to December 2020, where they assisted constituents with casework and organized public events. Melissa's earlier roles include Coordinator at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, Administrative Associate at Badlands Strategies, and HIV Prevention Intern at CARES.

Melissa Fish obtained their Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University between 2008 and 2013.
