Daniel Williams

Daniel "Ryan" Williams is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on advanced technologies for clean and efficient Spark Ignited engines. Currently serving as a Manager at Southwest Research Institute since February 2019, Ryan leads research and development efforts through the HEDGE-IV consortium and independent projects. Previous roles include Staff Engineer and Senior Engineer at Woodward, Inc., where Ryan specialized in natural gas ignition and combustion research, and Engineer at Caterpillar Inc., focusing on internal combustion engine concepts. An academic background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. Additional experience encompasses roles as a Research Assistant and a Japanese Tour Specialist, showcasing a diverse skill set in both engineering and communication.
