Joel Parker is an accomplished astronomer with extensive experience at Southwest Research Institute since January 1996. In addition to a successful scientific career, Joel has been a producer, writer, and host for the award-winning science radio show "How on Earth" at KGNU Community Radio since December 2002. Joel earned a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Colorado Boulder and holds a BA in Physics and Astronomy from the University of California, Berkeley. Early education was completed at San Leandro High School.
