Nils Smith

Nils Smith has over three decades of experience at Southwest Research Institute, where roles have included Vice President of the Defense & Intelligence Solutions Division, Assistant Vice President of the Signal Exploitation and Geolocation Division, and Executive Director overseeing multiple departments, including Tactical Systems and Software Engineering. Previous positions include Director of the Signal Acquisition and Radiolocation Department and various leadership roles in Advanced Systems Development and Systems Development. Prior to joining Southwest Research Institute, Nils Smith worked as a Senior Research Engineer and Research Engineer at FPL. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
