Tim Allison

Tim Allison serves as the Director of the Machinery Department at Southwest Research Institute since December 2007, where responsibilities include managing engineering research and consulting projects related to rotating machinery such as gas turbines, compressors, and wind turbines, alongside providing technical expertise in areas like modal testing and dynamic modeling. Prior experience includes work as a Graduate Student Intern focused on Structural Dynamics Research at Sandia National Laboratories and as a Student Technician at Applied Research Laboratories. Tim Allison holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with High Honors from the same institution.
