Tony Bowie

Tony Bowie, CPTD, PMP has over two decades of experience in employee development and training, currently serving as Employee Development Manager at Southwest Research Institute since May 2001. In this role, Tony leads a team focused on staff education and development to enhance organizational success in a competitive global market. Previous positions at Southwest Research Institute include Training Principal and Sr. Interactive Training Developer, where responsibilities encompassed program administration, technology-based training initiatives, and e-learning project management. Additionally, Tony contributed as a Committee Member for the Veterans Employment & Training Advisory Committee and held leadership roles within SA-ASTD, including Past President and President. Tony's military background includes various positions in the United States Air Force, culminating as the Information Systems Section Lead for the 982d Training Group, where technology integration in education was pioneered. Tony holds an MBA in Management Information Systems and a BS in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University.
