Michael Barker Kelly

Michael Barker Kelly is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, with additional roles as Adjunct Chemistry Faculty at both Grossmont-Cuyamaca and Southwestern Community College District. Michael has extensive teaching experience in organic and general chemistry, delivering courses in both in-person and hybrid formats since January 2022. Prior teaching experience includes a position at Seattle Central College, where Michael taught various chemistry courses from January 2020 to March 2022. Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from San Diego State University and has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from the University of Washington, along with an Associate of Science (AS) degree from Seattle Central College. Prior to an academic career, Michael gained experience in payroll processing and customer service at ADP from January 1998 to January 2003.
