Sarah Williamson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Sarah began their career as an ICU RN at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where they provided direct patient care to critically ill neurosurgery-neurology patients and also took charge RN responsibilities. Sarah then transitioned to become a Clinical Informatics Manager at Gateway Regional Medical Center before assuming the role of Director of Critical Care and Women & Newborn Services at the same organization. Sarah later joined Kindred Healthcare as the Director of Quality Management, where they stayed until 2019. After that, they worked as a Risk Management Manager at Memorial Hospital Belleville before becoming the Director of Critical Care at Anderson Hospital, where they currently hold the position.
Sarah Williamson began their education in 2003 at Lewis and Clark Community College, where they obtained an ADN in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse in 2004. Sarah then enrolled at the Goldfarb School of Nursing from 2008 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing. In 2014, Sarah attended the University of Arizona and completed their Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Clinical Systems Leadership in 2015. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership at Chamberlain University, with an expected completion date in 2023.
In terms of additional certifications, Sarah earned a certificate from Mentor Collective in November 2021, provided by the institution of the same name. Sarah also obtained an IHI Open School Basic Certificate in Quality & Safety, although the specific dates of when they obtained this certification are not available.
