Gladys Billups, CSP, has extensive work experience in the field of environment health and safety. Gladys is currently serving as the Director of Environment Health Safety at Southwire Company since March 2022. Prior to this, Gladys worked at Georgia-Pacific LLC as the Division Health and Safety Manager from November 2019 to July 2020, where they maintained alignment with site managers on safety issues and managed site safety leaders. Gladys also held the position of Health and Safety Manager at Georgia-Pacific LLC from March 2017 to November 2019, where they enhanced the safety culture and led capital safety projects. Before that, Gladys worked as a Sr. Occupational Safety Engineer at Celanese from 2014 to March 2017, conducting policy assessments and incident investigations. Gladys was a Senior Process Engineer at ALLSOURCEPPS, INC. from December 2010 to January 2013, providing technical support to Merck & Company and maintaining knowledge of process safety management. Gladys was the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager at Daikin Applied Americas from May 2006 to May 2007, where they coordinated industrial hygiene sampling and established safety programs. Their earlier work experience includes the role of EHS Nylon Unit Lead at INVISTA from August 2004 to August 2005, where they implemented EH&S policies and oversaw contractor safety.

Gladys Billups, CSP possesses a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from Clark Atlanta University.
