Yuhsin Hawig, Ph.D. has over 20 years of experience in various engineering roles. Starting in 1996 as an Undergraduate Intern at National Taiwan University Hospital, they went on to work as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at Case Western Reserve University from 1998 to 2001. Yuhsin then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in 2003.

Yuhsin'sindustry experience began in 2004 at NEPTCO, Inc., where they worked as an R&D Polymer Chemist in both Electronics & Specialty Materials and Fiber Optic Cable Component divisions. Yuhsin then joined NEETRAC/Georgia Tech in 2015 as a member of the National Electric Energy Testing, Research, & Applications Center (NEETRAC) Management Board.

Most recently, Yuhsin has held various leadership positions at Southwire Company, including Vice President of Applications Engineering, Senior Director of Applications Engineering, Senior Director of Electrical Development, Construction System Solutions, and Director of Energy & OEM Engineering, Power System Solutions. In these roles, they provided technical support, led engineering teams, conducted cost analysis, and prioritized projects to meet the needs of the electrical industry.

Yuhsin Hawig, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. Yuhsin obtained a Certification in Management Accounting from Cornell University in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Ph.D. in Polymer Science & Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2002, following a Master of Science degree in the same field from the same university in 1999. Yuhsin earned their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1997. In addition to their formal education, Dr. Hawig has obtained multiple certifications in various fields, including Electrical Distribution Principles and Applications, Multiphysics Finite Element Analysis, Fundamentals of Adhesion Science and Applications, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Production Part Approval Process, Nicolet Centaurus Microscope/Infrared Training, Atomic Force Microscope User Training, and Thermal and Chemical Analysis User & Instructor Certification.
