Daniel Fondren has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Daniel started as a Member Services and Loan Representative at Flint Area School Employees Credit Union in 2008. Daniel then became a Teller Supervisor, where they focused on improving operational efficiency and managing the teller department. In 2013, Daniel became the Member Services Supervisor, overseeing the efficient delivery of various credit union products and services. Daniel was responsible for creating and implementing new policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency. In 2008, Daniel joined Sovita Credit Union as the Vice President of Finance. Daniel later became the VP of Member Services, where they continued to play a key role in improving operational efficiency and providing member services.
Daniel Fondren attended Swartz Creek High School from 1993 to 1996 and obtained their high school diploma. Daniel then pursued higher education at the University of Michigan-Flint, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with High Distinction in Accounting from 2005 to 2007. Later, they returned to the University of Michigan-Flint to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their degrees, Daniel Fondren has acquired several certifications throughout their career, including the CUES Certified Credit Union Executive Manager (CEM) from CUES in 2023, Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) from NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association in 2018, Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) from NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association in 2014, Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) from CUNA - Credit Union National Association in 2014, Certified IRA Specialist (expert level) from Ascensus in 2014, and they have also completed the VISA Debit Product Manager Certification Program from Visa.
