Santiago Tirado

Santiago Tirado is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in renewable energy project development. Currently serving as an Electrical Engineer at SOWITEC GROUP since September 2021, Santiago focuses on large-scale renewable energy projects in Peru, Colombia, and Africa, having identified optimal wind park configurations along the west coast of Peru. Prior to this role, Santiago worked at UPME Oficial from October 2016 to January 2021, where evaluations of generation projects—including conventional and renewable energy sources—were conducted for the Colombian electrical system. Santiago's academic background includes a Master's degree in Renewable Energy Systems from Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, expected in January 2024, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, completed in May 2017.
