Felix Winnekens

Felix Winnekens is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience at S&P Global since June 2014, currently serving as Managing Director, Analytical Manager, and Head of Local Governments for the Central Region, overseeing a team of 15 analysts and managing 2,700 ratings across multiple states. Previous roles include Director / Lead Analyst for Sovereigns and Public Finance Ratings and European Financial Institutions, as well as Associate Director overseeing sovereign ratings in Central and Eastern Europe. Winnekens began a career with the International Monetary Fund as a Research Analyst for the European Department and has held various positions in research and policy advocacy before earning a Master of International Studies from The George Washington University and a Diploma/Master in Economics from Freie Universität Berlin.
