Fred Steward

Fred Steward is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as the Executive Director of Platform Engineering at S&P Global since August 2021. In this role, Fred oversees a cross-functional organization focused on managed service providers for Cloud, Container, and API solutions, while also integrating disciplines such as Site Reliability Engineering, Security, and FinOps. Previously, Fred held progressively responsible positions at Nasdaq, culminating in the role of Senior Director, during which significant advancements in platform operations through automation and observability were achieved. Fred's earlier career includes roles in various technical capacities at organizations such as McGraw-Hill Education, Sungard Availability Services, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Fred earned multiple degrees in Information Technology and CAD from Lincoln Technical Institute and the University of Phoenix.
