Mayra Román

Mayra Román has worked in the technology industry since 2008. Mayra began their career as a Blogger/Writer for NeoTeo, where they wrote content about Technology, Software, Social Networks, Mobile, Science & Internet, and performed Search Engine Optimization. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Web Editor for Swebloo, where they wrote content about Technology, Internet, Startups, and Entrepreneurship. In 2012, they joined NUTHOST SRL as a Web Support, where they set up and managed client accounts for different services, provided customer support, and handled low & medium level incidents. In 2018, they began working for Accenture as an Application Developer Trainee, and then moved into the role of Application Developer Associate, where they coded in .NET (C# & ASP) and performed front and back-end tasks. In 2019, they joined Dell Technologies as a Big Data Consultant, where they were a Cluster Administration Engineer in Hortonworks/Cloudera environments, and performed ingestion tasks into Hadoop platforms from various sources. In 2022, they began working as a Data Engineer for Webdox Legal.

Mayra Román has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from INACAP, obtained in 2018. Mayra then obtained a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management of Digital Transformation from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Big Data Specialist with Apache Hadoop from UTN Buenos Aires in 2018, a Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile in 2021, an Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022, and an IELTS General Training - Overall Score: 8.0 CEFR: C1 from IELTS Official in 2021. Mayra has also obtained three Microsoft Certified certifications in 2022, including Azure AI Fundamentals, Azure Data Fundamentals, and Azure Fundamentals.
