Daren Sears has had a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Daren began their career in the United States Air Force as an MC-130/C-130 Instructor Navigator, where they gained expertise in risk management, training, and complex multi-aircraft operations. Daren was also extensively involved in special operations, including personnel recovery and combat search and rescue.

After leaving the Air Force, Daren Sears took on various leadership roles, including Chief of Exercise and Inspection Programs in the 353rd Special Operations Group, where they directed regional security exercise programs and managed a $4.3M exercise program that enhanced interoperability and regional security. Daren also served as Director of the Korea Air and Space Operations Center, where they spearheaded a team responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing special operations air, ground, and maritime operations.

Daren Sears then became the Commander of the 755th Air Expeditionary Squadron, where they led a team of 430 personnel supporting various labor specialties in southern Afghanistan. In their most recent role as a Senior Military Policy and Operations Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., Daren Sears served as a liaison between various defense organizations, working on complex cybersecurity issues related to defense capabilities. Daren also provided analysis for the Office of Secretary of Defense Damage Assessment Management Office and coordinated assessments of the effects of data compromises for priority acquisition programs.
