Jon Halverson

Senior Military Analyst Navy Warfare Development Command at SPA

Jon Halverson has a comprehensive work experience in various roles related to military analysis and leadership. Jon started their career at 2d Radio Battalion as an Executive Officer and later attended Marine Corps University as a student. Jon then served as a Plans Officer at United States Marine Corps - 2d Marine Aircraft Wing. After that, they were the Commanding Officer at 3d Radio Battalion. Jon then attended Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy as a student. Jon continued their career as the Deputy Chief at the United States Department of Defense. Jon's next role was Commanding Officer at Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group. Jon then joined Command Post Technologies as a Joint Concept Writer, Team Leader, and Critical Thinker for the Joint Staff J7. At Metron, Inc., they served as a Senior Military Analyst for the Navy Warfare Development Command. Currently, Jon holds the position of Senior Military Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (acquired by SPA in 2021).

Jon Halverson has a diverse educational background. Jon first attended the United States Naval Academy from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Following this, they pursued further education at the Naval Postgraduate School from 1998 to 2000, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Operations Research. Continuing to enhance their knowledge and skills, Jon then attended the Marine Corps University for two consecutive periods. From 2006 to 2007, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Military Studies, and later, from 2007 to 2008, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Operational Studies. The breadth of their academic pursuits culminated in him attending the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy from 2013 to 2014, where they achieved a Master of Science degree in National Security and Resource Strategy.
