Sara Apanavicius

Technical Program Analyst at SPA

Sara Apanavicius has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sara started their career as a Manager at Bada Bing Pizza from March 2014 to August 2016. In 2012, they volunteered at Riverside Local School District, tutoring math and science to 8th to 10th graders and managing volleyball camps for middle schoolers. Sara also volunteered at Lake Metroparks from November 2013 to May 2016.

In 2015, they became the Head Coach at Eastside Volleyball Club from December 2015 to July 2016. Sara then took on the role of an Intern at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. from May 2019 to August 2019, supporting the IWS 2.0 Above Water Sensors and Lasers Program Office.

From April 2018 to April 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics. Starting in August 2019, they became a Team Leader at the University of Rochester Fitness Center until May 2020. During this time, Sara also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Thermodynamics I from August 2019 to December 2019.

In 2020, Sara joined Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. as a Technical Program Analyst, supporting the IWS 2.0 AN/SPY-6 (V) 1-4 programs. Sara also worked as a Coach at Virginia Elite Volleyball Club from August 2020, where they served as an Assistant Coach for the 13's team in the 2020-2021 season and the 17's team in the 2021-2022 season.

In August 2021, Sara took on the role of an Assistant Volleyball Coach at The Catholic University of America, where they worked until May 2022. Throughout their various roles, Sara has gained extensive experience in coaching, program analysis, research, and leadership.

Sara Apanavicius completed their high school education at Riverside High School from 2012 to 2016. Sara then pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Rochester from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, in 2019, they enrolled at Defense Acquisition University, but the end year is unspecified, and no degree or field of study is provided for this institution.
