Vinny Abbatiello has extensive work experience in the fields of defense, foreign investment analysis, and policy. Vinny is currently working as a Senior Foreign Investment Analyst for Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., where they serve as a Department of Defense risk analyst for the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. Prior to this role, Vinny worked for the United States Department of Defense for nine years, starting in 2011. During that time, they held multiple positions, including Operations Research Analyst/Project Coordinator, International Programs and Foreign Engagement Specialist, and Policy Analyst. Before joining the Department of Defense, Vinny served in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant from 2002 to 2006.
Vinny Abbatiello completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Farmingdale State College in the years 2007 to 2010. Vinny then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University from 2010 to 2012.
In 2016, Vinny obtained a Certificate from the Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation. Additionally, they received a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) in May 2016 from the Scrum Alliance.
