Astrid Vollebregt

Astrid Vollebregt is a highly experienced gynaecologist currently working at Spaarne Gasthuis since 2011, where roles include consultant gynaecologist, subspecialist in urogynaecology, head of trainees in obstetrics and gynaecology, and chair of the central training committee. Previous experience includes leadership positions at the NVOG, serving as chair of the board from September 2016 to November 2022, and chairing the Dutch pelvic floor society from November 2014 to March 2017. Vollebregt was also a member of the PR committee for the International Urogynaecological Association from 2010 to May 2016. Academic qualifications include a PhD focused on polypropylene mesh in anterior vaginal prolapse surgery, a fellowship in urogynaecology from UMC Utrecht, and extensive training in obstetrics and gynaecology at various institutions in Amsterdam. Education began at Leiden University and Coornhert Gymnasium.
