Ian Joiner

Ian Joiner has a diverse work experience in various roles. Ian is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Space and Time since June 2022. Prior to that, they were a Contributor at The Apache Software Foundation starting from October 2020.

Ian also has experience at Lowe's Companies, Inc., where they worked as a Senior Data Scientist from February 2021 to June 2022, and as a Data Scientist from September 2019 to February 2021.

Before joining the industry, Ian worked at Brandeis University, first as a Teaching Assistant from September 2013 to May 2019. During this time, they also served as an Instructor from August 2016 to December 2018 and as a Tutor from September 2013 to December 2014.

Ian Joiner completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Fudan University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Ian then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics at Brandeis University, from 2013 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Ian obtained the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate Specialization from Coursera in December 2018.
