Software Engineer at Space Ape Games

Ben C. has a strong background in software engineering and development, with experience working in various roles and companies. Ben started their career in 2002 as an Ada Software Developer at AMS Integrated Systems Division. From 2003 to 2008, they worked as a Programmer at Juice Games, where they developed prototypes for racing games on PS3 and Xbox 360 and worked on multiplayer and game code for Juiced 2 - HIN on Nintendo DS. Ben then moved on to Endrant Studio in 2008, where they served as a Programmer for the multiplayer game Wolfenstein, working with C++, UI, scripting codebases, and ensuring TCR compliance on the Xbox 360. In 2009, they joined Glu Mobile as an iPhone Game Developer, developing iPhone games using a mixture of internal engine and iOS SDK and creating a physics-based puzzle game called Escape From Nom. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Programmer at RoadPilot Ltd, creating iPhone and Android ports of the RoadPilot Mobile J2ME application and developing the Windows Phone 7 Silverlight version. In 2011, they had two contract roles - one at Full Moon Game Studios, where they developed Objective C native code plugins for Tango Chase, integrating iOS In-App Purchasing, Game Center, and social media functionality, and another at Apptoyz, where they developed two proof-of-concept applications for custom peripherals, including a heavily animated UIKit quiz game and a motion-controlled fishing game. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Senior Mobile Developer at Mind Candy, and in 2014, they became a Technical Lead at HandCircus. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Space Ape Games since 2015.

Ben C. attended the University of Kent from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a BSc degree in Computer Science.
