James Sheppard-Alden

James Sheppard-Alden has held a variety of roles in the aerospace and defence industry since 2015. In 2015, they worked as a Freelance Consultant, developing software, authoring technical literature reviews and analysing data for a number of companies in downstream space applications. In 2016, they worked as a Design Engineer at Aircraft Research Association Limited, designing and analysing wind tunnel models, strain gauge balances and new test capabilities. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Airbus Defence and Space, first as a Spacecraft Engineer working with the company wide expert for ALM technologies and then in the product development department working with the thermal and propulsion departments. Currently, they are the Chief Technology Officer at Space DOTS Ltd.

James Sheppard-Alden obtained a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire between 2011 and 2015.
