Craig Nickel

Craig Nickel, PMP has a strong background in aerospace engineering and program management. Craig currently serves as the Principal Aerospace Engineer at Space Exploration Engineering, where they specialize in space flight dynamics, navigation, guidance, and mission operations. Craig supports all mission life-cycle phases, from concept and design to analysis and development and operations.

Prior to their current role, Craig worked at L3 Applied Defense Solutions as the Program Director for Commercial, Civil & International Space. In this position, they were responsible for program management, program execution, customer engagement, and business development for their C2IS programs. These capabilities included satellite navigation and guidance, mission design, ground system development, and mission operations. During their time at L3, Craig also served as a Senior Astrodynamics Engineer and Astrodynamics Engineer, managing the LADEE Flight Dynamics System project for the NASA Lunar mission.

Before joining L3, Craig worked as a Mission Systems Engineer at Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. Their work there focused on mission systems engineering.
