Jesse Gerroir

Jesse Gerroir has been a software developer for over 10 years. In 2021, they started working as a Remote Full-stack Developer for Spaceful. From 2018-2021, they were a Senior Software Developer at BrainFinance, a financial technology company, where they helped develop the new version of its system. From 2015-2018, they worked as a Software Developer at Square One Insurance, where they worked primarily with web technologies to build features for both the client facing website and internal tools used by the insurance agents and other staff. From 2014-2015, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carleton University, where their job duties varied depending on course. From 2013-2014, they worked as an Assistant Researcher at Carleton University, where they helped several Masters students carry out the design and implementation of the software projects for their thesis'. From 2012-2013, they worked as an Assistant Researcher at Carleton University, where they built and conducted a series of usability tests using the Xbox Kinect. From 2011-2012, they worked as a Software Developer at Sphenic Technologies, where they designed an interface for one of their products. In 2011, they worked as a Web Developer at Environment Canada, where they were in charge of maintaining, debugging, and upgrading, two of their online applications. In 2010, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Carleton University, where they were in charge of translating and developing drivers for a Haptic Device.

Jesse Gerroir completed a Bachelor of Information Technology from Carleton University in 2013 with a field of study in Interactive Multimedia and Design. Jesse also completed an Advanced Diploma in Multimedia and Design from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in 2013 with a field of study in Information Technology. Lastly, they completed a Master of Applied Science from Carleton University in 2015 with a field of study in Human Computer Interaction Engineering.
