Rachel Lovejoy

Rachel Lovejoy serves as the Senior Counsel (Chief IP Counsel) at Space Exploration Technologies since April 2014, where responsibility includes advising on IP strategy and managing an extensive global portfolio of intellectual property assets. Prior to SpaceX, Rachel held several roles at IBM from 2003 to 2014, including Lead Services Counsel for Latin America and various counsel positions in Global Process Services and Strategic Outsourcing, focusing on IT transactions and risk management. Earlier experience includes roles at law firms such as Jones Day and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where Rachel specialized in corporate finance and technology transactions. Rachel's foundational career includes serving as a Transportation Officer in the United States Army Reserve and holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
