Songhua (Hans) Yang

Songhua (Hans) Yang has worked in the tech industry for the past six years. In 2015, they began as a Frontend Developer at Babysoft Telecommunication & Network Solutions, where they built helper tools with Vanilla Javascript, communicated with clients to resolve technical issues, and built customer emails with HTML and designed newspapers with Photoshop. Songhua (Hans) then moved to Ventmere Ltd. in the same year, where they implemented large-scale e-commerce ERP systems and built industrial-level e-commerce websites and tools. In 2018, they became a Software Engineer at Quantum Mob, where they implemented full-stack SaaS applications with React and MySQL via Next. In 2019, they were promoted to Engineering Manager at Ventmere Ltd., where they architected and implemented large-scale e-commerce ERP and tools, and managed technical teams and agile development cycles. In 2021, they joined Nuvalence as a Software Engineer. Most recently, in 2020, they became Director of Engineering at SPAICE, where they architected and implemented large-scale SaaS applications, and led technical teams and managed development tasks.

Songhua (Hans) Yang completed a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering (B.EE) in Communication Engineering from Shanghai Maritime University between 2008 and 2012. Songhua (Hans) then went on to earn a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc) in Computer Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland between 2012 and 2014.
