Linwei Zhang

Linwei Zhang has a diverse and extensive work experience in firmware engineering. They have recently worked at SPAN as a Staff Embedded Firmware Engineer, where they focus on enabling homes to get clean energy more easily. Prior to that, they held a position at Rivian as a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer, where they designed firmware for a vehicle network processor and developed embedded Linux drivers. Linwei also worked at sonnen, Inc. as both a Senior Firmware Engineer and Firmware Engineer, leading firmware development projects, designing portable firmware, and collaborating with stakeholders. Additionally, they worked at Aava Technology LLC as a Design Consultant, where they worked on various projects including electronic circuit analysis, embedded firmware development, and design documentation. They also had an internship at Aava Technology LLC, where they worked on implementing a wireless battery monitoring system. Linwei Zhang also has volunteering experience as the 2016 MathFun Chair at the Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA-DFW Chapter, where they organized math and engineering games.

Linwei Zhang completed their education history with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hunan University, graduating in 2015.
