Gonzalo Gómez López is a seasoned computational biologist currently working at the CNIO since 2006, focusing on precision oncology, immunotherapy, drug repositioning, and omics data analysis. In addition to this role, Gonzalo serves as the coordinator for the Master's program in Bioinformatics applied to Personalized Medicine and Health since May 2019 and has experience as an associate lecturer in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 2014 to 2021. Previous research experience includes a PhD student position at Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal, investigating biomarkers of micrometastases in melanoma, and as a laboratory research assistant at Severo Ochoa Molecular Biology Centre, exploring histone modifications. Gonzalo holds a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Oncology, and Computational Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and an MSc in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, along with a BSc in Molecular Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
