Guillermo de la Vega Barranco

Guillermo de la Vega Barranco is currently a PhD Student in the Melanoma Group at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) since June 2022. Prior experience includes a role as an Investigador colaborador at Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa, focusing on the study of ubiquitin and SUMO pathways in breast cancer with defects in homologous recombination from October 2020 to June 2021. Additionally, experience as a practice student at Centro Andaluz de Biología del Desarrollo involved research on the identification and characterization of new target genes for anti-tumor treatments, particularly related to microtubule nucleation proteins, from January 2020 to June 2020. Guillermo is pursuing a Master's in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, with a previous Master's in Molecular Biomedicine from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Pablo de Olavide.
