Pedro Aguilar Garrido is a PhD student at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), specializing in hematological malignancies since March 2018. Prior experience includes a research assistant role within the same unit, as well as a neuroscience MSc project at Instituto Cajal, focused on the neuroprotective role of the IGF-IR receptor against ischemic stroke. Pedro has also contributed to biochemistry research studying virulence genes in Campylobacter spp. at the VISAVET Health Surveillance Centre. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an MSc in Neuroscience from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and a BSc in Biochemistry from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Additionally, Pedro has experience working as a private tutor and in the hospitality industry.
