Ruth Alvarez Diaz is a seasoned bioinformatician currently employed at CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre since March 2021. Prior experience includes a Master's program in Bioinformatics applied to Personalized Medicine and Health from October 2019 to February 2021, and a tenure as a Scientific Researcher at Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa (CBMSO) - Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from July 2008 to December 2017. Ruth held postdoctoral fellow positions at CBMSO - CSIC from March 2005 to June 2008 and at the University of Michigan from July 2002 to November 2004. Earlier roles included a Técnico titulado superior - diagnóstico genético and predoctoral scientific researcher at Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias from June 1997 to May 2002. Ruth Alvarez Diaz holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Universidad de Oviedo, an Expert University degree in Medical Genetics from Genética Médica Campus, and a Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry from Universidad de Oviedo.
