Jan-Eilert Nilsen

Jan-Eilert Nilsen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within SpareBank 1 SMN since April 2015, where responsibilities have included sustainability leadership, management of real estate and procurement, and oversight of private market delivery. Nilsen also serves as the chairperson for multiple real estate companies, including Byscenen Kongens Gt 19 AS, SpareBank 1 SMN Kvartalet AS, SpareBank 1 Bygget Steinkjer AS, and St Olavs Plass 1 SMN AS. Additionally, Nilsen has been involved with Finans Norge as a member of the Sustainable Finance Expert Committee and previously served in various capacities at SpareBank 1 SMN and Forsvarsdepartementet. Academic credentials include a Master’s module in Sustainable Business Strategy from Norges Handelshøyskole and an MBA in Strategy from the Naval Postgraduate School.
