Andrew Pergam

Andrew Pergam is the Co-Founder at Spark Camp. Prior to that, they were the Vice President, News Operations and New Ventures at McClatchy from October 2018 to July 2019. Andrew also served as the Vice President, Video and New Ventures at McClatchy from October 2016 to July 2019, and as the Head of Video from March 2014 to October 2016. Before McClatchy, Andrew was the Senior Editor, Director of Video at The Washington Post from July 2011 to March 2014. Andrew was also the Editorial Director at J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism from February 2010 to July 2011, and the Managing Editor (Digital Lead) at NBC Universal / WVIT-TV from October 2008 to February 2010. Andrew's other roles include Television Reporter/Fill-in Anchor at NBC Universal / WVIT-TV from August 2002 to October 2008, and Television Reporter at WFSB-TV (Hartford, CT) from June 2001 to August 2002. Andrew began their career as a Freelance reporter at WAMU-FM (Washington, DC) from April 2000 to June 2001.

Andrew Pergam's educational career includes receiving a Master of Science from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University.
