John MacAskill-Smith

John Macaskill-Smith serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Spark Health at Spark New Zealand since September 2023. Additionally, John holds directorship roles at the Digital Health Association (DHA) and Franklin Vets, both initiated in February 2024 and March 2023, respectively. As Chairperson at St Peter's School in Cambridge, New Zealand, since December 2020, John leads an independent co-educational boarding institution. Other roles include Managing Director at c4i NZ Ltd, which focuses on health and digital innovation, and participation as an Investor with Enterprise Angels. John’s experience in health system reform is highlighted through work with PwC Middle East. Educational credentials include an MBA from The University of Waikato and a Certified Advisory Board Chair qualification from the Advisory Board Centre.
