Philip Zastrow

Frontend Designer at Sparkbox

Philip Zastrow is a frontend designer at Sparkbox. Philip has previously worked as an instructor at Girl Develop It, where they taught Intermediate HTML/CSS and Introduction to Sass classes. Philip has also worked as a web designer at the University of Notre Dame, where they designed and developed websites for University properties, organizations, colleges, schools, and departments. Most notably, they designed and helped develop the University’s primary website, nd.edu–a design that endured for over five years. Philip has also worked with project managers to create a planning and development process focused on the Responsive Web Design method. Prior to working at the University of Notre Dame, Philip worked as a web designer at Legacy Ministries International, where they were responsible for designing and developing websites into working final products built around a content management system, comprised of PHP, MySQL and CSS. Philip also oversaw and produced print design projects as needed and designed brand identity for both print and web clients. In addition, they provided training and support for clients, teaching them to efficiently manage and maintain the content, look and feel of their website.

Philip Zastrow has an AAS in Visual Communication from Sinclair Community College and a High School Diploma from Miamisburg High School. Philip is also certified by the IAAP as a Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS).
