Dustin Sampson has extensive work experience in the field of technology and geomatics. Dustin began their career in 2003 as a GIS Technician at Alberta Energy and Utilities Board. After that, they worked as a GIS Project Lead at Optimal Geomatics Inc from 2005 to 2006. Dustin then joined Timberline Natural Resource Group as a Lead Software/GIS Developer from 2006 to 2010. Following that, Dustin worked as a Software Developer at CTQ Consultants from 2010 to 2012. Dustin then served as the CTO at PlaceSpeak from 2012 to 2013 and later moved to Sparkgeo, where they are currently working as the CTO since 2014.
Dustin Sampson received their Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Geography from the University of Saskatchewan between 1996 and 2001. Dustin then pursued further education at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2002 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Geographic Information Systems (B.App.GIS) degree. Their field of study focused on Geographic Information Systems.
